June 8 2012 – Ravens.
Ravens, I would not know the difference twixt a raven and a carrion crow..the first is bigger , They are here also. They positioned themselves nicely for you. xxx
Excuse me, Malin, but the birdwatcher in me can’t resist here … Carrion Crows make the familiar “caw”, Paula, but the larger, wedge-tailed Raven has a harsh and far carrying croak, “pruk” – and they’re certainly “down your way”!. A
It’s a beautiful bird and they’re extremely intelligent… xxx
“Where the raven flies there jeopardy..” from the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. by Genesis :)
I’ll have to listen to that song again…
Great album, still good after all these years imo
Quote the raven never more

As always Sheldon
Thank you, Sheldon. Yes, Edgar Allan Poe’s famous poem.
ravens are always good subjects, like this one.
Thanks, Jörg. And yes, they are good subjects.
Lovely shots of a favourite bird of mine, Malin – dark, stark – these were the birds that foraged on Dark Age battlefields, and didn’t Woden have one on his shoulder? A
Thank you, dear Adrian. It’s my favorite too… I’m actually really good at imitating them too.
You’re thinking about Odin… And yes – not only one but two. One on each shoulder (Hugin and Munin) .

Spännande bild, man undrar verkligen vad de samtalar om… ;)
Kan titta på bilderna länge, tankarna bara far iväg och fantiserar kring detta.
Det har alltid varit något ödesmättat kring dessa fåglar för mig. Något som får mig att tänka på livet och döden.
