May 7 2016 – iPhone 5s.

The chains that keep you bound to the past are not the actions of another person. They are your own anger, stubbornness, lack of compassion, jealousy and blaming others for your choices. It is not other people that keep you trapped; it is the entitled role of victim that you enjoy wearing. There is a familiarness to pain that you enjoy because you get a payoff from it. When you figure out what that payoff is then you will finally be on the road to freedom. (Shannon L. Alder)

  1. So True, but ..we are what we are…very hard to change , even if we may well be aware of our ‘flaws’..in an ideal world we would be loved warts and all..but alas, isn’t the whole world as flawed as we are?

    1. I’m not a fan of Richard Simmons, but I found this qoute and I share his pov:

No one is perfect… absolutely no one. Like precious stones, we have a few flaws, but why focus on that? Focus on what you like about yourself, and that will bring you happiness and peace. (Richard Simmons)
